Command buttons are buttons provided automatically by SmartSlides as a convenient way to do things you would otherwise do by pulling down menus. Most of SmartSlides' command buttons are discussed elsewhere in connection with their associated menu commands, but three specialized command buttons are less immediately associated with menu items that have been discussed. These are covered on the next three slides of this Help stack.
SmartSlides assumes that if you are using command buttons, you are interested in doing things more efficiently than you can when you have to pull down the menus all the time. Consequently, when a command is invoked from a command button rather than a menu, you will NOT get the usual prompts which interrupt the process.
For example, if you choose the LEFTALIGN… command from the XTRA menu, you will be prompted to click on the field whose text you want left aligned; but if you invoke the same command by clicking on the command button in the right margin, you will still be expected to click on a field, and nothing will change until you do, but SmartSlides will not take time to remind you of this fact.
